Beats and LINE FRIENDS released this special collaboration in summer 2017. To help launch the limited-edition Beats Solo3 Wireless headphones emblazoned with one of the world’s most lovable bears, Beats created the Brown Got Beats video at the bottom of this post (written and storyboarded by my amazing writing colleague and some of the other talented in-house folks at Beats).
I worked on the collaboration page and retail copy, which give background into the story of the partnership and the brand-new Brown, who unleashes a whole new side of his iconic personality once he straps on his Beats.
The character brand and messaging app LINE FRIENDS is massively popular around the world (220 million active users globally) and is starting to grow rapidly in the States too. Their retail store in Times Square and the release of this new design are signs of lots more to come.
