When our team at Beats heard that Chelsea would be heading to L.A. for an exhibition match against Liverpool at the Rose Bowl, there was an electric sense that we could make something awesome while they were in town. The main liaison to the club reached out to see what they thought, and the response was an enthusiastic hell yes.
The overarching theme of this project was REDEMPTION. Chelsea had just come off a severely disappointing season. It’s a testament to the players that they chose to harness all that negative energy to fuel a legendary comeback for the ages.
All these months later, after a long grueling season of matches against truly stacked competition, Chelsea just won the Premier League. And not just that — the 2017 team is now being favorably compared with the League’s all-time great champions. (Also, goalie Thibaut Courtois took home the Gold Glove Award.)
Congrats to everyone at Chelsea, and to all the fans. Here’s to redemption.
